I signed up for Markeroni way back in 2004 when I was still living in Canada, but it was one of those things I never quite got around to doing. That finally changed in May 2009 when I logged my first snarf on Markeroni, a historical marker related to the church I attend in my new home of Virginia Beach.
As I was logging as much information as I could for the catalog on the Markeroni site, I also realized that so many markers are in beautiful places, and I would love to have a chance to showcase them a bit more than I can in the constraints of that site, hence the birth of this site!
